  • Checking every day’s temperature logs of microbiology laboratory instruments like aerobic incubator, Co2 incubator, vitek-2 analyzer, Bactec blood culture system, semen liquefaction incubator.• Reading of ’24 hours culture plates , subjection of suspected pathogen encountered in the plates inoculated with different clinical samples and assigning the plates for 2nd day(48 hours ) incubation and further tests to continue the microbiological analysis to detect the pathogen.• Reading of ’48 hours culture plates , subjection of suspected pathogen encountered in the plates inoculated with patient’s clinical samples and assigning the plates for 3rd day incubation(72 hours) incubation if required and subjection of encountered pathogens to vitek-2 identification or serological grouping or other biochemical analysis to detect the pathogen.• Release of culture and sensitivity results within the turn around time limit of microbiology department/section.• Observation, evaluation and reporting results of previous days gram stained slides, Ziehl neilson(ZN stained for AFB) stained slides, CSF and other body fluids stained for differential count, Semen stained for differential morphology, Leishman stain stained slides(For detection of cutaneous leishmaniasis), Giemsa stained slides to detect ‘Chlamydial inclusion bodies and etc,. • Check and supervision of every day’s Q.C run of gram stain, AFB stain, streptococcus grouping kit, Staphylococcus aureus latex detection kit, rapid strep kit, oxidase test, catalase test and etc,.• Check and supervision of every day’s Q.C run of SIMENS URINE ANALYSER for its proper compliance with positive and negative control strips and their chemical parameters/tests.• Observation, evaluation, confirmation, verification and prompt/timely reporting of critical samples of urine, Urine sediment, abnormal chemical constituent/parameter of urine.
