      Technical Support Manager

While Corporate Portraiture was only very part-time time while in this role, and was overshadowed by other tasks: for the first few years, I sold, installed and supported video conferencing equipment, (the biggest sale I ever did was a $500,000 sale to a Federal Government Department). Post-sale, I traveled around the country, installing the equipment in the client's Regional Offices and then I trained the new customers in the use of the gear, in a public speaking environment. Since I also was in charge of the Help Desk, I knew what issues would arise and so I addressed them in advance during my Presentation. Thus I reduced my workload back here in Canberra, which thus freed me up for other tasks.I also sold Digital Animation Services for the company's Animation Branch, something that required a whole new mindset. For two years, I was also a Building Manager for a large, sprawling, commercial building in Canberra. I used my technical background to investigate faults and therefore was able to properly advise the contractors who attended. Therefore I was able to save time and therefore money, which went straight to the bottom line. Show less
