      Oct 1998 - Aug 2000
      Computer Hardware Technician

I was primarily responsible for analysis of insurance claims involving advanced electronics and computers, and restoration of these items. The restoration typically involved a physical teardown, detailed cleaning, and rebuild of sensitive desktop and server computer systems, high end electronics, and instruments in a de-ionized wet lab, with pneumatic dry stations. Included in the physical analysis of the claim items, I estimated total damage to determine the amount of hours to restore, versus replacement costs. Research into market pricing on computers and equipment played a central role to determining replacement decisions. Show less

      Software Support Technician

At Visionael, my role as a Software Support Technician allowed me to develop my skills in customer service, trouble ticket management, software support and troubleshooting. As the first contact with customers utilizing the Visionael network discovery and management software, I was able to help address common bugs, setup and install issues, and advanced troubleshooting. In addition to software support, I implemented a software licensing process, and creation of a software shipping and distribution process for 200+ international customers. Show less

Member Technical Staff III - Specialist

I began my career at Verizon working for a production operations group in August 2001, supporting enterprise datacenter infrastructure & hardware of roughly 650 midrange application systems in Tulsa's tier two datacenter. While in this role, I managed datacenter physical security, integration of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance procedures, disaster recovery process implementation and execution, and supported a custom CDR media collection system for feeding customer data into a wholesale billing system. In 2006, I transitioned into a billing analyst position, supporting an internal wholesale billing and invoicing application that generates roughly $2 billion in annual revenue for Verizon. My primary functions in this role were to: perform daily process execution on cross platform systems including Windows, UNIX, Tandem, AS400 and MVS Mainframe. I also developed many supporting web tools including a staff website, wiki based process documentation platform, a complex management dashboard displaying real-time overview status of billing cycles (sea of green style) including archived cycles. In addition, I supported many internal wholesale legacy application systems including TCOMS/Autosys, NDM, MIPS, XI-TEXT, et al.In 2011, while maintaining my duties as wholesale and legacy application support, I began work in a open systems scheduling and production control group supporting enterprise scheduling and automation software known as CA Workload Automation (ESP) for Verizon Information Technology Cloud Services, Logical Operations. Our primary role within this group was to automate the operational processing of WIN Billing, and continuing support of the automated system. This work proved challenging while trying to standardize and automate an enormous, cross platform, multi-process billing system. Using website development to fill in the gaps, I created a cycle trigger and approval system to complete the automation, allowing cycle processing to speed up with fewer errors. Show less
