Successful implementation of automation required having the right person in the lab who knew about automation’s strengths and limitations, and its validation process. That right person was Dr. Michael Groeschl. Michael joined Celerion in January 2012, after he worked in a highly automated vaccine lab. Shortly after Michael started working at Celerion he got an old piece of automation equipment, which was not working, operational. Starting last year BAS-Zurich purchased several different automation platforms and under Michael’s leadership this equipment was quickly installed and validated. In February 2014 Zurich had a record revenue month which would not have been possible without the automation installed and validated by Michael. Show less
