  Job Responsibilities:•Develop the strategies and objectives of the Internal Audit Department of Kuwait Re and oversee their implementation.•Review the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s system of internal controls.•Review the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and company plans•Review the means adopted for safeguarding company assets and, as appropriate verify the existence of such assets.•Appraise the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which resources are deployed in the company.•Review operations and programs to ascertain that results are consistent with the company’s established objectives and goals.•Prepare and Submit Quarterly Internal Audit Reports to the Board Audit Committee and Attend Quarterly BAC Meetings.OTHER PROJECTS: •Evolution of the approach of the Internal Audit department from a Transactional Audit to Process and Controls Audit during the FY 2017- 2018 and conducting Process & Controls Audit for all the Departments of Kuwait Re.•Advancing to Risk based Internal Audits in FY 2019 on completion of the Process & Controls Audit for all Departments.•Following up on Process Improvement recommendations made during Audit engagements on a monthly basis and ensuring they have been duly incorporated.•Developing and Documenting the Audit Infrastructure for Kuwait Re such as Three-year Audit Strategy, Annual Audit Plans, Quarterly Audit Program, Post Audit Survey Forms and Management’s Response to Audit Forms and creating a formal system for holding Audit Opening & Exit Meetings and minuting the same. •Conducting Branch Audits for Kuwait Reinsurance Company’s Malaysian Branch – FERO on site and remotely.•Conducting ad-hoc audits on request from Top Management/Board Audit Committee members. •Co-ordinating with External Consultants BDO Al Nisf & partners in conducting the Annual Internal Control Review for FY – 2016, 2017 & 2018 as per CMA Regulations.
