  Duties included working alongside teachers to help students improve their English language skills and cultural understanding. I supported the English teachers by preparing and giving presentations, by leading speaking sessions, assisting in grammar classes and marking texts, and answering any questions students may have about British culture. I have also planned and led Sixth Form lessons. I was regularly tasked with carrying out research to find tools and resources for classes, which demanded creativity and adaptability. The role also demanded classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. As this job was in Germany, I proved my ability to adapt to a new working environment and work in a professional manner whilst communicating with colleagues using a foreign language. Show less

  This role demanded project management skills as I worked in a small team of four individuals to design, coordinate and execute a bilateral cultural project between German and British schools. This demanded project planning, creativity and liaising skills. In the course of the project I worked with German students of different ages and lead cultural exchange sessions in class time and set up a new after-school project group based on our theme of sustainability.
