Starting out as a mechanic in 2012, I worked my way up to become a Senior mechanic in the following years and then on to a licensed senior engineer where I anticipated to complete my ojt and first type rating, having completed a bombardier Q400 type rating course, unfortunately I was unable to complete the OJT due to the lack of correct aircraft types and lack of time due to the collapse of flybe.Maintain Aircraft in accordance with the Part-147 approval, included aircraft are:Embraer 170/190'sEmbraer 175/195'sEmbraer 135/145ATR 42/72-500'sBAE 146'sAvro RJ100'sBombardier Dash 8-Q400'sThis role involved routine A, B and C checks, where I was involved at all phases, from aircraft pre input checks, to final engine ground runs. Also as part of the role I was involved in carrying out AOG repairs and aircraft storage. The aircraft were 3rd party and own company inputs and attention to detail was required for a good quality of finish, particularly in the cabin areas. As part of the role I was familiar with EWIS, SAR 88, and practices such as duplicate inspections and safety critical tasks. As an engineer I had to ensure I followed aircraft technical documentation such as CMMs, AMMs, tech logs, component change forms, AMOS records as well as submitting to OEMS' drawings for repair instructions e.g dent and buckle.
