      Activities and Societies: My time at U of T was split between classes and part-time work. I learned a great deal about time management and prioritization by balancing my work schedule and my schoolwork in such a way that enabled me to maintain a good relationship with my employers as well as maintain a grade point average that allowed me to graduate with distinction. While obtaining my B.A. in Linguistics at the University of Toronto I gained extensive experience in research, data compilation and consolidation and authored many clear and concise reports.       As a Theatres Representative for TIFF I was expected to oversee the coordination of several teams of volunteers and employees, as well as direct and and manage film delegations, media and security. My responsibilities included ensuring that volunteers were in place and prepared during audience load-ins and load-outs; being first point of contact in case of conflict; ensuring only those with proper accreditation were able to enter limited-access areas; coordinating the placement of teams, talent and media during red carpet events; communicating with different shifts and location teams during changeovers; maintaining a friendly and approachable manner at all times and being a advocate for the Festival and the TIFF brand. I proofread and edited correspondence, one-sheets, and interview requests. I was often required to problem-solve on-the-fly while maintaining friendly professionalism and a calm, enjoyable environment for my fellow publicists and delegations.Working as a publicist enabled me to develop both my written and in-person communication skills, as well as learn more about entertainment industry.
