Core projects included orienting and advising four cycles of incoming volunteers; modeling 74 participative natural science classes; developing and implementing a co-planning model with 6 multi-grade, Spanish-speaking teachers; providing basic emergency response training including First Aid and CPR; producing 800 pounds of organic compost; establishing nurseries and transplanting 205 trees; constructing school gardens; planning and executing forums reaching over 300 community leaders; working with local agencies to revise their Community Environmental Action Plan; and recording an educational radio program.
