Show less The Duties and responsibilities of an Absentee OfficersI used to provide line managers with daily report per section per job categories; I have meetings with section managers about the total unavailable for the shaft and ensure all those who have determined as abusers are monitored on weekly and monthly basis. To present my monthly Absentee figures stats to the Shaft HOD`s every month end and discuss the way forward for the new month after presenting to them how many shifts were lost as a results of private doctors and mine hospital and the final presentation will be presented to the GM by the Production Manager. Every month end I used to draw a report which indicate the highest doctor that cost the mine the most shift and have fruitful meetings with the surrounding doctors, which at first was a fight, but as we go along it beard fruits to all of us. The most critical function was the identification of the trend on abusers and we end up having to mark some employees who abused the system and to track them on weekly and monthly basis until the employee change his/her behavior or get dismissed for the same reason.
