  The University of Redlands Masters GIS programme was set up by Esri in Redlands, California and is one of the most prestigious GIS schools in the world. Instruction comes from both the faculty and a number of professionals that work across the street at Esri headquarters, giving the university a unique combination of practical and theoretical skills not available from many other universities. As part of my major individual project, I worked with a client (Sierra Nevada Corp) on GIS Oil & Gas infrastructure security in Africa. This included mapping pipelines and refineries across Africa and performing spatial analyis to assess risk of sabotage or threat by potential attackers or terrorists. Show less
