      Shadowed different aspects of the Libya exploration team including Geophysics, Petroleum Systems and Reservoir Exploration. Worked as part of a dynamic, cross disciplinary team to produce simple exploration models of potential Libyan prospects with the ultimate aim to calculate total hydrocarbon volumes to present to team members, utilising inter-personal communication and presentation skills and technical geological concepts developed and learnt during the placement. Improved risk management skills by identifying issues and potential risks with the models and proposedfurther appraisal solutions to avoid future uncertainty. Show less

      Shadowed different aspects of the East Africa exploration team including Geophysics, Petroleum Systems and Reservoir Development.Analysed seismic and well log data to locate prospective petroleum plays from calculated porosity,permeability, net to gross and structural/stratigraphic traps interpretations.Attended Graduate scheme presentations to understand key areas of development and the opportunities for a graduate in the energy industry.Discussed active Engineering projects on reservoir production and enhanced recovery methods inmultidisciplinary meetings learning key communication skills and the importance of well-informed sound judgement for the successful reservoir production.Used skills adapted from the BP experience to develop the models further by suggesting simple appraisal of development geology aspects including locations of appraisal wells and production wells, reservoir geometry, reservoir connectivity and permeability issues.
