      I was elected to take on the role of Head of Arts for the African Caribbean Society (ACS) at Brunel University from 2008 to 2009. We as a society organised student activities, cultural events and experiences as well as motivational talks. My role entailed organising, providing and directing creative content such as dance, drama and music for events held. I also took time to talk to the members to see what they wanted from the society and how they would like to make a contribution by getting involved in events.
