      The Brighton Law Society ran a workshop with Rita Goodhead from the Student Development Company which gave an informative insight into the importance of soft skills and how relevant they are when pursuing a career. It was interactive whereby students had to discuss how we rate our priorities with regards to our education and social life and Rita guided us into creating a time management scheme to help us effectively handle our priorities.

      Commercial and Contract Law Workshop

      The Brighton Law Society had the pleasure of Malcom Dowden from Bowden Dickinson LLP coming to give the law students a talk on all things contract law. It was extremely informative and from the beginning Malcom stated that contract law was simple, but by the end of this presentation we gathered this to be an extreme understatement! It was beneficial to gather an insight into this area of law beyond what we were taught at university and it was constructive that Malcom used very recent case law.
