      Within this business I was involved in every aspect from initial customer contact right through to handing the customer a completed garden, or a maintenance plan and schedule. Duties include customer liaison, contract negotiation, design and construction, budgeting, book keeping and project management. On top of our work in domestic gardens we also completed both commercial and local authority contracts maintaining sports pitches, parks and recreation areas working within and managing a small team. Within the company another role was to manage, reinstate and maintain the orchards and trees of our customers, this involved various Aboricultural activities along with liaising and managing a range of Aboricultural contracts.       My main duties were around curriculum management which involved Quality Assurance in teaching, learning and assessment ensuring our customers receive the best possible service and make the progress required to take their next step and to ensure that all delivery and assessment meets the requirements of the various Awarding Organisations. As part of the oversight of courses and delivery, I coordinated staff development and coaching to ensure staff were up to date and working effectively. I have experience in recruiting new staff being involved in the marketing of positions and interviewing candidates. Within the Apprenticeship programmes, alongside managing I also deliver training and assessment, both in college and in the workplace. As a lecturer, I am responsible to plan, prepare and deliver a range of practical and theory Horticulture and Aboriculture units to level 2 and 3 full time students. Working as part of a team, I often assist moderating HE assessments sharing my experience working directly within the industry for a number of years. Whilst in my role, I have continually developed my skills and knowledge as a lecturer, assessor and of the industry.As Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) for the Royal Horticultural Society, I am responsible to ensure that all assessments and teaching deliver meet the requirements of the awarding organisation.
