I love programming so much, that on the side I do computer programming. I have created a couple websites and done some RPG programming for a small local company. In the past, I had a podcast and worked with editing audio.

What is it that I do for the City of Mankato? What don't I do? I am a team leader for the development team and am responsible for coordinating projects and help analyze business processes and software. The team is responsible for the development of internal and external web-based applications. We administer and maintain many of the enterprise applications and servers for the city, including Tyler Munis and Cartegraph OMS. We generate reports, support the users, and integrate applications so they can talk and work together. If that wasn't enough, I administer and maintain our IBM iSeries server. I know RPG, CL, SQL, C#, and JavaScript. I improve people's workflows to save them time. I work with the City Manager's Office to build the budget book using PatternStream every year. I am a report and SQL guru. I am the go-to person when there are issues (sometimes even when it's not my area of expertise). I help with desktop, printer, and network issues as they arise. I even work a little magic here and there and I am the 2017 employee of the year. You could call me a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to technology. Show less What is it that I do for the City of Mankato? What don't I do? I started out mostly as an RPG developer working with our home-grown software. Then I learned C# and helped out the webmaster with the website launch at the time. Since then, I have become the webmaster. I have wrote many internet and intranet websites and applications. Integrated IBM iSeries home-grown software with our intranet software written in C#. I also administer our Cartegraph application, which is an enterprise asset management software package. I provide support for our home-grown software and am the first-call for vendor software issues. I improve people's workflows to save them time. I fix the web servers as needed. I help with desktop issues as they arise. I integrate what needs to be integrated. I help pick out, implement, and integrate purchased software into our existing applications. I even work a little magic here and there. Show less

LEAD Participant City of Mankato Dec 2013 LEAD is a program that trains the employees how to be a leader in their organization. We learn things like conflict resolution and the personality types and how to deal with them on a daily basis. As part of the program, we were given a project to take what we learned and present our ideas to the City Manager and the directors of the organization.
