  - PREM program funded by the NSF - Collaborated with PhD mentor in Drug Delivery lab to research the presence of nanoparticles in tissues- Used tissue slicing machine to prepare slides of paraffin-embedded heart and liver tissue- Prepared slides with attention to detail via H&E staining to observe the presence of nanoparticles- Trained undergraduate individuals on how to use tissue slicing machine - 1 out of 11 students chosen from pool of 80 students fully funded by the NIH to research bioinformatics with dean of biomedical engineering- Segmented islets using ImageJ to calculate intensity of beta cells- Used MATLAB and R to validate calculations of machine learning pipeline tool- Cultured alpha and beta cells to create a co-culture model to demonstrate how they hypothetically interact
