  Inspection Engineer

  Carries out integrity inspection and testing activities as per inspections and integrity management programs and plans. Monitors and analyses physical and working conditions of a wide range of equipment and facilities including offshore jetty platforms, Tank, piping and pressure vessels. Carries out inspections and testing of all static equipment of plant facilities including NDT, insertion and retrieval of corrosion coupons, hydro-tests, and performance qualifications of welders, testing of lifting equipment etc. as and when required. Issues inspection reports and certificates if applicable, on successful completion and verification of the work done in line with statutory requirements and approved policies and procedures.Monitors and inspects execution of repairs and modifications, providing advice on material selection, welding, painting, insulation, wrapping, etc., and performs relevant testing prior to final acceptance by Inspection Superintendent.Conducts inspection/survey of facilities, using various inspection techniques including visual inspection, NDT, etc. Evaluates and records findings, accepting or rejecting inspected components in consultation with the assigned Inspection Engineer.Follows up the Inspection findings during previous turn-around surveys, for finalization of shutdown work lists.Provides recommendations on choice of repair procedures, selection of materials etc. in accordance with Company’s Inspection and Corrosion Control Policy (ICCP). Writes technical reports, issues inspection work lists, reports inspection findings.Facilitates Inspection activities in the assigned area. Obtains required PTWs, coordinates with Operations and QHSE, and supervises Inspection service contractors’ staff.Complies with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures. Reports all accidents, incidents or near misses to supervisor/manager or to the QHSE Department if supervisor/manager is not available. Show less
