  I weekly work with students between the age of 14 – 16 who come from backgrounds where University is not an option due to a variety of factors such as financial backgrounds, no history of University attendance in the family or lack of faith and confidence. My role is to work on the aspirations of a selection of students who have the potential to attend University and to make them aware of their options, their abilities and give them educational and careers advice. This has required much hard work through research, trying to tailor teaching methods to each student, working on the needs of individuals in a small space of time and composing create methods to achieve the most from the time allocated.
