Black Brilliance is an annual conference that occurs annually within the TDSB and acknowledging the trials and triumphs that black students face within the education system. In the early years, I facilitated workshops that revolve around colourism, misogynoir, the housing system in Toronto, and even politics. Now, I approve keynote speakers, create workshops and sometimes train high school students to facilitate them as it is a "for the student, by the student, of the student" initiative.Fun Fact: Black Brilliance has housed over 500 students all around Toronto and has even moved to regions such as Nova Scotia. Furthermore, in its first, it gained wide news coverage from CTV news, Global News and CP24. Show less
