  I worked with a research team at the molecular biology laboratory working on inserting the gene for chitinase into rice plants. There, I acquired skills in PCR, Electrophoresis and use of Agrobacterium tumefaciens as a tool to deliver our gene of interestI also worked with a team at the agricultural biotech lab where I gained skills in plant tissue culture.I also learnt isolation of Serratia marcescens from soil samples and sub-culturing to obtain pure cultures for production of prodigosin for research work Show less
