    • Bank of America

      May 2003 - May 2016
Senior Vice President - Change Management

MBNA, part of Bank of America, specialised in online credit cards in Europe. I was accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of major change programmes. Each programme was strategic/transformational and included cultural, people-related, organisational, process, technical or regulatory impacts and was in the top priorities to achieve the 10-year Business Plan. I also managed due diligence and governance through the life of each programme. All the change programmes involved developing effective relationships with senior leaders across the organisation as well as external business partners. Leading people through the process of change to ensure the change was adopted and sustained was critical. Effective strategy development and effective implementation formed an important part of the role. Successfully delivered programmes included a 5-year regulatory programme (PPI and CPP in UK and Ireland); an organisational re-brand; re-organised and de-layered group operations; business sale programme; E2E process re-engineering; offshoring; and new technology implementation including commercial negotiation and contract development. I was responsible for change and operating teams up to 400 FTE and delivery of multi million benefits. Show less

    • Christians Against Poverty

      Sept 2022 - Aug 2024
      Chief Mission Officer

CAP are passionate about delivering the best services to deliver the vision to see Transformed Lives, Thriving Churches, and an End to UK Poverty whilst giving clients the opportunity to hear and respond to the love of Jesus. Seeing Thriving Churches is one of the three big focus areas of CAP’s vision and, as such, great importance is placed on interacting with, equipping and supporting them. I led the Mission Team who worked collaboratively across the charity to ensure CAP is operating in its key principles and values of empowering the Church, the workers, and the people helped via a CAP service. The purpose of the role is to provide inspirational and strategic leadership to the Mission Team and to the frontline network right across the UK. The aim is to continuously develop strong relationships with churches and grow in understanding and diversity. I was also responsible for the development and implementation of the product and service strategy for the organisation. CAP is totally focussed on delivering impact across all services in relation to the vision and aims of inspiring and equipping churches across the UK to help people out of poverty and see them become followers of Jesus. The key focus of my role was to ensure the Church remains at the heart of decision making for CAP and to ensure a holistic and joined up strategy for all church relationships, both current and future. CAP is passionate about listening to, engaging with, communicating with, and encouraging and empowering our valued partner churches and frontline workers across denominations. Show less

    • Compassion UK

      Sept 2024 - now
      Senior Director of Partnerships

Compassion is a Christian child development charity releasing children from poverty, in Jesus’ name. Working in 29 countries, we partner with more than 8,600 local churches within communities experiencing poverty. Our heart is to give children and young people living in extreme need the opportunity to thrive and reach their God-given potential both now and into the future. We’re Christ-centred, motivated by Jesus’ call to love our neighbour. We’re child-focused, helping those left most vulnerable to the effects of poverty. And we’re church-driven, running our programmes exclusively in partnership with local churches.Compassion’s child development programmes are holistic, giving children support in every core area of their lives. Because we work in partnership with local churches who know their communities inside out, our programmes are tailored to a child’s age, gender, health, culture and family situation. Independent research shows they are highly effective, and now more than 2.3 million children globally are being released from poverty. As a member of the Executive Team, I lead our dynamic Partnerships Team. We love building partnerships with key existing and prospective partners, including philanthropists, church leaders, event organisers and business leaders. We are committed to achieving ambitious growth objectives and cultivating long-term relationships that aid our mission and multiply our impact. The Regional and Events Teams liaise and build relationships with church leaders, event organisers, individuals and corporate supporters. Our major donor relationship managers and the Relationship Fundraising Team cultivate strategic relationships with networks, high-net-worth individuals, statutory funders and key influencers in business, and the public sphere. Our Partnership Support team provides an exceptional level of service to the department, delivering high quality research, church contacts, timely resources and outstanding trips to the field.
