(Netherlands), Sembcorp Utilities Corp. (Singapore), Kyushu Electrics Corp. and Sojitz Corp. (Japan), uses combined cycle gas turbine technology with designed capacity of 716.8 MW. Based in Phu My 1 Industrial Zone – Tan Thanh District – Ba Ria Vung Tau province, Phu My 3 Power Plant is constructed by Siemens AG (Germany) and fueled by Nam Con Son Gas Pipelines, an affiliate of BP Vietnam. Since its commercial operation in Jan 2004, Phu My 3 Power Plant has supplied about 10% of the whole nationwide power generation in Vietnam under the Power Purchase Agreement with Vietnam Electricity Corp.
