      I started my professional career in the IT world by developing websites and web apps, which I continue to love to this day. The projects cover a wide variety of different websites and web apps, ranging from simple webshops to a complex and advanced Customer Relationship Management application. As of November 2017, I manage 8 servers in a mixed Windows 2012/Linux environment. I am responsible for keeping the servers up-to-date, secure, responsive and online on a 24/7 basis. The servers in question are constantly being monitored by Nagios and run a variety of different services, including Exchange 2013, Active Directory, the Atlassian stack, Apache, MySQL, Postgresql, nginx, haproxy and a uwsgi cluster.

      Intern Mobile App Development

      During my internship at Mobiléa I worked on implementing a remote control feature into their app. The objective was to be able to use their current software stack, which is the Ionic Framework (based on AngularJS and Cordova), to be able to remotely control a remote device, such as would be possible through TeamViewer on a non-mobile device. Completing the internship, I had delivered a pluggable tool that enabled remote control based on WebSockets and AngularJS into their app.

      Development of a high-performance management tool for IP datasets. The tool was built on Django and AngularJS, uses Python to process large datasets and a combination of MySQL and Sphinx Search to enable filtering and searching for datasets. The tool also integrates with third parties through their APIs and is deployed on a nginx and uWSGI stack.

      Museumprijs 2021 - Deshima Experience: second place Vriendenloterij Museumprijs Dec 2021 Using high resolution photographs and immersive 3D-based stories, the Deshima Experience tells you the story behind the Kawahara Keiga folding screen. I worked together with FloatScans and Volkenkunde within a multi disciplinal team to realise the online Deshima Experience. The Deshima Experience was nominated for the Museum Price 2021. Deshima Experience ended in second place (out of three) with 37% of the votes, closely following Kasteel Hoensbroek (first place, 41% of the votes).
