My primary training location, as of April 2023, is Northwest Martial Arts in Eugene, Oregon.I earned a second-degree black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate in 2022 in Portsmouth, NY; a fifth-degree black belt in ITF Taekwondo in 2022 in Chandler, AZ; a second-degree black belt in Okinawan Kenpo Karate Kobudo in 2022 in Chandler, AZ; and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2019 in Santa Cruz, CA.I have also studied Muay Thai and Wing Chun Kung Fu in Arizona; and Chen Style Tai Chi in California.       I began helping people improve their communication and leadership skills when I joined a local Toastmasters club and have been doing so ever since.I have delivered well over 100 speeches and at least as many evaluations to multiple clubs, served multiple terms as a Club Officer (including three as President of President's Distinguished clubs), and multiple terms as a District Officer (District Secretary, Division Governor, Area Governor). I have earned 24 communication and leadership awards through Toastmasters International, including two Distinguished Toastmaster awards.I am a master instructor and content developer for Presentation Skills and Advanced Presentation Skills, and an instructor for Project Management and Effective Meetings. I have taught hundreds of students across several countries (USA, Israel, Mexico, Costa Rica) and consistently receive high feedback scores for instructor quality. I have also helped certify other instructors, coordinated group training activities, and made significant contributions to course content.In addition to instructing classes, I provide speaker coaching to senior engineers and leaders on an as-needed basis, particularly in conjunction with large events and conferences.       Technical Advisory Committees (TACs) advise the Department of Commerce on the technical parameters for export controls applicable to dual-use commodities and technology and on the administration of those controls. The TACs are composed of representatives from industry and Government representing diverse points of view on the concerns of the exporting community. Industry representatives are selected from firms producing a broad range of goods, technologies, and software presently controlled for national security, foreign policy, nonproliferation, and short supply reasons or that are proposed for such controls, balanced to the extent possible among large and small firms.I served as a member of the SITAC from April 2012 until February 2013, when I transferred to the ISTAC. On the ISTAC, I am a member of the Category 3 and Category 5p2 subcommittees.
