In achieving this, the school recognizes the need for counselling for the students who may struggle from past traumatic events or their current circumstances that may leave them helpless and emotionally and mentally challenged. It is through these efforts that I involved myself with this school to support and guide the students in various issues that they face. Below are the activities and roles that I was involved in at this school:- Provided group counselling to children ranging from 7 years old to 15 years old from refugee backgrounds with a group of other intern counsellors.- Group counselling was provided mainly in a workshop format and covered areas of respect and safe touch, and will be covering respect of diversity, dreams, and others.- Sessions were conducted in English and videos, games, verbal sharing, and activities were used to facilitate reflection and learning.- Prepared proposals before the session and reports after the session for each class in a timely manner.- Individual counselling was provided for students who were struggling as assigned by the school.- Main issues the students faced were: Anger Management, Emotional Regulation, Friendship Issues, Family Issues, etc...
