  This revolutionary experience was provided to me by the Independence School District. This “business internship” was a position I was given based on an interview process. In this experience, students are given the opportunity to run a retail clothing store on Historic Independence square. I learned to be proficient in many financial skills that include but aren’t limited to quick books, vend( POS), and many other excel processing functionalities. I also became an skilled at making financial statements, sales reports, and other various accounting/finance functions. I also did so much more than the job title and helped develop leadership skills through leading multiple projects, teaching lessons to students, and using connections to make field trip opportunities.   Was involved in various promotional experiences, including helping manage the chuck a puck table which benefited various different charitable causes in the KC area. I primarily managed the Jersey raffle and was able to lead to a sales increase of $12,096 which was a 73.2 % increase in comparison to the prior seasons sales. 2017-2018 Season: $16,522.002018-2019: $28,618.00*Increase of $12,096 over the previous season, a 73.2% increase.
