      Teacher

I didn't realize it at the time, but being a middle school teacher prepared me for my future roles in Implementation, Training, and Project Management in ways I couldn't imagine. I formed a connection with my students and their parents and made sure that the needs of every child were being met. Planning lessons is very similar to planning a project. You need a clear plan and objective, you interact with stakeholders (students, parents, administration), there is oversight from administration, and you need to capture quantifiable data to show results (grades). I would then analyze the data to observe trends and take appropriate action when needed. Show less

    • The Walt Disney Company

      Sept 2009 - Dec 2012
      Advance Sales Associate

I got to create magic every day! This role allowed me to show guests how they could affordably experience Disney vacations year after year. I would put myself in every guest's shoes and get to know them before recommending whether or not a Disney Vacation Club membership might benefit them. One of the reasons why I was so successful was because guests were able to tell that I truly had their best interests at heart. My ability to effectively utilize a counselor sales approach earned me the respect of my peers as well as leadership. One of my proudest moments was when I received the Leadership Circle award, which is given out to the highest performers on the team. I wasn't proud because of the accomplishment, I was proud because it meant that I had shown countless families how they could create the same memories that I had as a Disney Vacation Club member. • Dealertrack

      Nov 2012 - Jun 2021

I became a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of all of Dealertrack's F&I solutions (12 at the time) and was promoted to a Sr Implementation Specialist role. I was still responsible for my previous duties, but took on a stronger leadership role within the team. New responsibilities included supporting and training Implementation Specialists on all Dealertrack F&I solutions, as well as partnering with our product and UX teams. Collaborating with the product and UX teams gave me an opportunity to test new software/upgrades and provide feedback on how they could best impact our dealer partners. Another aspect of the role was being trusted with Dealertrack's most high profile clients. I would typically oversee the implementation of our software for an entire auto group on both a regional and national level. This reinforced the value of being organized because of the large scale nature of the projects. I was also able to implement the skills I had learned about managing projects in ways that I hadn't before becoming a Sr Implementation Specialist. I would regularly collaborate with external stakeholders at a corporate level, whereas I had previously dealt mostly with people at the dealership level. The role also afforded me the opportunity to partner with leadership to help set the course for the implementation team. I was charged with collaborating with other Sr Implementation specialists to help develop playbooks for the team. Finally, it also gave me exposure to other Cox business units as I was involved in pilot programs that included every business unit. Show less This was an exciting opportunity to leverage the skills I had learned in previous roles and utilize them all in one role. My experience working in dealerships gave me critical knowledge to helping understand the needs of our clients. The time I spent teaching prepared me for training dealers who weren't always enthusiastic about having to train. Finally, I was able to apply the world class customer service of Disney to a different industry. The role also introduced me to formal project management. Each install had a kickoff, deliverables, and a conclusion. Primary duties included installing, testing, troubleshooting, and most importantly, training. Once training was complete, I would continue to provide support until the client was given a warm handoff to our proactive support team. Show less

    • A2Z Sync

      Sept 2021 - Aug 2022
      Project Manager

Being a project manager at A2Z allowed me to utilize the skills I had been refining over the past decade in an exciting, fast paced, startup environment. My main responsibility was to manage a rollout from start to finish. I would partner with our sales team to validate tech specs that our clients provided, then I would organize and lead kickoff calls (both internal and external) with the appropriate stakeholders. Throughout the install, I would lead weekly cadence meetings with the client to collect information we needed for the rollout, provide updates, and confirm that checkpoints and milestones had been reached. Once the software was installed, I would partner with our Client Success team to initiate a warm handoff, as well as provide additional support to the client over a 90 day post install period. One of the greatest opportunities was to be able to wear many hats. Aside from managing our software rollout projects, I was able to demonstrate my ability to improve internal processes. This skill was developed throughout my entire career because I would constantly ask myself "is there a better way to do this?" One of my biggest accomplishments was working with our team to develop process improvements that reduced implementation time by 30%. This didn't happen because I was solely responsible for the improvement, but because our entire team shared ideas that ultimately led to us becoming more efficient and provided more value to the client. I would also consult dealers in operations management, and provide suggestions on organizational structure, pay plans, and best practices. I was also asked to share feedback with our product team to help A2Z Sync be the best product that it could be. The thing that I am most proud of are the lasting relationships that I formed with our clients. The biggest testament to their satisfaction was that clients of mine sent me job leads and offered to help me make new connections once they learned my position was eliminated. Show less
