  I completed my PhD at the Laboratory for Innate Immunity and Leishmania Research under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Christian Bogdan and PD Dr. Ulrike Schleicher. My research focused on the novel role of Arginase 1 in the differentiation dynamics of monocytes, which serve as replicative niches during chronic infections. This work led to the initiation of on-site clinical studies in Tabasco, Mexico.I possess extensive experience in a range of scientific techniques, including:Immunology: FACS, ELISAMolecular Biology: qPCR, Western BlotMicroscopy: Fluorescence, Confocal, Spinning Disc, Thunder, KeyenceImmunometabolism: Seahorse AssayMetabolomics: LC-Mass Spectrometry, MetaboAnalyst softwareTranscriptomics: Single-cell sequencing (10x Genomics, BD Rhapsody), library preparation, count matrix generation, clustering, and trajectory analysis using R.My research interests span innate immunity, myeloid cells, infection immunology, and immune metabolism.   I conducted a week-long research trip to launch a randomized double-blinded phase 2a/2b clinical trial on cutaneous leishmaniasis. While in Tabasco, Villahermosa, I collaborated with local doctors affiliated with the University of Tabasco, UJAT, to collect samples from cutaneous leishmaniasis patients. These samples were processed at UNAM in Mexico City and then analyzed at the Microbiology Institute, University Clinic, Erlangen.
