Drawing on years of committee and volunteer roles, as well the local knowledge of stakeholders, I took on the newly established paid role, helping to define the duties and tasks required to ensure the many cogs functioned. While very rewarding, the role required working with volunteers from all walks of life - many only available outside regular work hours and time-limited in availability.
