      This six-week after school program with ten fifth and sixth grade students was conducted through New Covenant School. I wrote and taught mini-lessons with the goal of introducing basic Spanish conversational skills to students. Mini-lessons were followed by games and other activities designed to reinforce the skills learned while promoting Spanish-speaking practice. Through the school, the sixth grade students go on a service trip to the Dominican Republic each year in January. Spanish Club was intended to provide some Spanish exposure to students before their service trip. Show less
