Supported the new product development engineering team by maintaining lab calibration and validation requirements, implementing 5S to maintain lab standards, and using the Quality Management System (QMS) methodology in accordance with FDA regulatory compliance guidelines. • Developed and executed Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification Performance Qualification (IQOQPQ) equipment validation requirements for all respiratory devices. Created standardized documentation across all products.• Fabricated prototypes for new portable oxygen concentrator by translating Engineering concepts into designs and drawings, creating specifications, identifying materials and building/modifying a prototype. Created an automated test fixture for use in verification testing, which was then duplicated and used across test labs globally. Documented instructions and calibration standards.• Completed design verification activities for new portable oxygen concentrator. Evaluated and tested all vendor parts to ensure components met product specifications.• Performed troubleshooting and repair of initial portable oxygen concentrator prototypes. • Maintained engineering laboratory instrument calibration records and files and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) records.• Developed and conducted group training sessions on use, maintenance, installation, and assembly of oxygen concentrators. Trained over 50 employees. Show less Provided telephonic technical support for all long-term care medical products. Inspected electronic controlled devices that were returned to determine if failures were within warranty terms. Serviced and repaired Power Wheelchairs, Powered Wheelchair Seating Systems, Power Patient Lifts and Beds. • Analyzed all warranty claims of electronic controlled devices returned for credit. Documented damage, assessing to determine if it was physical abuse, liquid intrusion or manufacturing issue/defective component. Summarized the failure findings in an analyzation report. Saved the corporation $350k over two years through documentation of equipment abuse. Company eventually created a department to process returns, as a cost savings program.• Provided troubleshooting, servicing, repairing and re-programming for all electronic controlling devices. Wrote repair analyzation summary reports.• Monitored, researched, and ordered current and newly requested parts needed for repairs. • Created an inventory system, workflow and process documentation for the Technical Service department as a member of Lean Manufacturing Team. • Acted as Safety Training lead, performing audits, conducting meetings, and training staff. • Documented changes to product designs as a member of the Control Change Board. Show less Provided technical support for all electronic controlled powered wheelchair devices, including specification and testing on all pre-production controllers, joysticks and seating systems actuators.• Conducted pre-production drive testing of power wheelchair controllers, joysticks and seating systems actuators. Conducted troubleshooting during pre-specification and pre-production phases. Performed High Potential current testing on all wheelchair controllers.• Summarized root cause analysis failure findings and wrote reports regarding the testing and operations of pre-specification and pre-production electronic wheelchair devices.
