      Provide emergency response services for the community at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton. Secondary duties include building and hot work inspections, educating the public on fire safety, and maintaining vehicles and equipment.-Excell at numerous firefighting/rescue practices including structural, aircraft, and wildland firefighting as well as low/high angle/confined space rescue, HAZMAT response and vehicle extrication. Served as attack team leader/ sector commander for 4-5 people and achieved a high degree of proficiency-Operated and maintained fire engine/pumper, ARFF, aerial (articulating boom), and rescue vehicles for a six year period-Served as lead EMR on medical calls-Motivated peers to effectively get the job done by advising, instructing, and orienting new firefighters or military members doing on the job training-Instructed my peers in tactics or the operation of equipment-Instructed the public on fire safety via fire hall tours-Inspected residential and commercial units to ensure compliance with building and fire codes-Functioned as SCBA rep.
