  Working as Shift Engineer Operations in the Operations Department of KAPCO. This is one of the largest CCPP of Pakistan, with an installed capacity of 1600 MW. KAPCO with 9.40 % energy shares of total energy generated in Pakistan & 24.10% of total energy produced by IPP's. It is an amalgam of multi fuel fired Gas Turbines of Siemens, GE (Alstom) and FIAT with associated Steam Turbines of ABB, RATEAU and Siemens. The whole complex comprises of Ten (10) Gas Turbines along with Five (05) steam turbines. KAPCO has got the privileged to be certified for ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System, ISO 14001-2004 Environment Management system and OHSAS 18001-2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management system. My key responsibilities are to lead and guide the operations team in safe, smooth and efficient operation of all installed equipments by keeping the integrity of plant. To maintain the plant efficiency, examine the performance parameters and to keep close liaison with the Maintenance and all other associated sections. It also includes developing the troubleshooting skills for faults and to purpose best available remedial actions. My functional responsibilities also include, supervising the plant during shift hours. Taking care of load demand, OEM recommendations, DOP’s and Local Procedures / Instructions. At every point of time, to ensure the Customer Satisfaction through effective communication with NPCC, RCC, NEPRA & WAPDA regarding the change in dispatch levels, scheduled outages, washing outages, forced outages, partial loading of the plant. It also includes the recording of parameters as per log sheets & Monitor recorded parameters from log sheets. Analyzing plant operating parameters, identifying abnormal parameters, predicting potential faults and reporting / proposing the remedial action to concerned sections and further take appropriate actions.
