Served as Director of the Office of Federal Affairs and the registered federal lobbyist for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Office is charged with coordinating and expanding the university’s relationships with Congress and federal research funding agencies as well as strengthening the university’s contributions to national advisory panels. The Director works with university leadership, faculty, staff and students and community partners to maintain a high profile presence for UNC in Washington and serves as an advocate for federal issues and research priorities for the campus. Special focus on transportation, public safety, economic development and public finance.
