      Activities and Societies: Edinburgh Political Union Leviathan - Regional Editor for MENA The MSc of International Relations of the Middle East with Arabic is a two year program which uses an integrated approach to language learning. Students simultaneously learn Modern Standard Arabic while also studying spoken Arabic. Seminars are aimed at giving students a more in depth knowledge of the Middle East region, and the program culminates in a dissertation.My dissertation focused on issues with American reconstruction in Iraq and Afghanistan, and considered the integration of resilience theory and frameworks as a way to stabilize projects. Due to my experience in the Middle East, and my knowledge of Arabic, I was placed with a Syrian refugee family.
