I learned invaluable leadership and teamwork skills by living and working with my fellow counselors all summer long. As a counselor, I developed and carried out weekly programs to engage, entertain, and instruct campers.I also led a weeklong day-camp at a church in White Bear Lake with over 60 campers. Our work was completed under very little supervision, providing a real-life startup environment. I took a leadership role through much of the clarification and development stages of the creative process. OROS plans on rolling out our product design and accompanying marketing mix in 2017.

  Customer Experience Manager

  I joined SpeakEasy as the 3rd member of the team. I performed a flexible role, aiding in numerous aspects of the business’s development. Some of my main focus points included capturing feedback on our developing product design, engaging in sales for early adopters, onboarding each of our customers, creating and performing our QA protocol, and crafting copy and imagery for 2 iterations of our website. As our product approached market-readiness, I took on the role of Customer Experience Manager. In this position, I set up an automated onboarding flow; complete with hard-coded emails, triggers, tracking, and tasks. Additionally, I set up an online Help Center and wrote/maintained all of the articles, linking them in the onboarding emails to provide proactive customer support. Show less

  In my time at the CDT, I tended 6 different bars and worked as a server in Brindisi's Pub. I was able to assist in the training of numerous bartenders and servers, and assisted in the management of the Pub for the last few months. This role also afforded the opportunity to bartend for numerous weddings and events. It was a pleasure to help make customers' special days even brighter!

  I taught English full-time at a Private Kindergarten to Korean children. In this role, I further developed my ability to thrive in a chaotic environment and maintain a positive attitude when fires constantly needed putting out. I wrote weekly and monthly lesson plans, adapted and created lessons in a variety of subjects to suit the level of my students, and maintained a happy, loving, and exciting classroom environment. I dearly miss my students from my class at i-Garten, and I hope they are thriving today! Show less

  I taught English for a second year at Kids' College in Namcheon, Busan. In this role, I had a lot more flexibility and responsibility in terms of my lesson planning and classroom management. The pacing of lessons and book completion was much more up to my discretion, and I was able to take more time to cover basic principles before tackling more difficult language concepts. Additionally, I had much more responsibility in terms of communication with parents. I held multiple parent-teacher conferences and helped ensure that parents were satisfied with their children's education and the environment in the classroom. While my time as an English Teacher was chaotic and stressful, it was an incredibly rewarding experience that taught me valuable lessons about responsibility and management. I will never forget these kids or my experience living in Korea! Show less

  Sales Team Lead

  My time at Carbon Savers was crazy, fast-paced, and extremely rewarding. I started as a door-knocker, and within 2 months I started and managed my own Sales Team within the company. I grew my team to a maximum capacity of 12 (enough to fill the 12-seat van!) and oversaw a 300% increase in the team's sales by the time I left. I led daily training workshops every morning, and trained sales reps on-field every day. I also drew and assigned turf for each member of my team and managed the sales team throughout the day, while maintaining consistent personal sales numbers with a stellar conversion rate. It was an absolute pleasure to develop my sales reps and to eventually promote over half of my reps to Leaders in the business. I learned so much in this role about people management, including the importance of maintaining a fun, exciting, empathic, and high-performing team culture. Show less
