      Jul 2014 - Nov 2014
      Driveability Engineer (Intern)

Working alongside Ford UK using the AVL-DRIVE hardware and software to asses the driveability of a range of vehicles. This requires instrumenting the vehicle with various accelerometers, sensors and microphones to not only asses the physical driveability of the car but also NVH.Once the car is fully instrumented and configured correctly various drive cycles would be undertaken which cover drive away at part and full load, acceleration at part and full load, tip-in/out, gear shifts and constant speed to cover all areas that the car would be driven in the real world. Finally a report presentation was created to present to the team responsible for calibrating the specific vehicle, outlining the good points and areas for improvement and under what driving condition the issues where seen so they can be resolved quickly and easily.
