  In 1997, along with several other US Immigration Inspectors, I was one of the founding members of ESFLEA, and eventually I assumed the position of Chair of the Board of Directors [also known as the Brehon Council]. During my tenure as the chairman, I created the By-Laws, which are still in effect today. In addition, I successfully incorporated ESFLEA under New York State law, and I obtained tax exempt status from the IRS and New York State. ESFLEA is the largest organization of federal law enforcement officers, military law enforcement and Intelligence personnel of Irish/Gaelic descent or who appreciate and have an affinity for Irish and Irish American culture.   I was retained by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, an agency of the Department of Defense, to conduct National Security and Public Trust background investigations for current and prospective members of the military, federal employees and federal contractors.I resigned from this position on my own volition because too many fellow employees and supervisors regularly engaged in misfeasance, malfeasance and nonfeasance. Repeated notifications to supervisors, company executives and even DCIS were a waste of my time. Show less
