  Within the "Cortical Plasticity" team led by Dr. Andreas Frick, I delved into the study of neural networks, focusing on the standard and pathological functioning of the central nervous system—a pivotal challenge in contemporary neuroscience. My primary contributions during this internship included:🐍 Python Programming: Developed specific Python tools for the analysis and synchronization of imaging and behavioral outcomes, enhancing understanding of the neurobiological mechanisms underlying sensory perception deficits in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).🧠 Neurophysiological Analysis: Conducted detailed analysis of intricate neurophysiological data from calcium imaging experiments, recorded during vibrotactile perception tasks.✏️ Development & Evaluation: Designed protocols for behavioral experiments and spearheaded a comparative study on available software for calcium imaging analysis. The EGI-ACE initiative, part of the Horizon 2020 program, empowers multidisciplinary research collaborations.☕ Java Backend Development:Much of my work was centered around Java development, utilizing Maven and the Spring framework to ensure smooth operation and optimization of various platform functionalities.🔐 Authentification & Security Enhancements:- Implemented EGI CheckIn support via Spring Security for robust user authentication.- Introduced notable improvements to password management and user registration.🎨 Frontend Development:- Delivered a refreshed homepage and developer profile using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 5.- Addressed various UI/UX improvements and fixed numerous bugs to enhance the overall user experience.🤝 Collaborations & Teamwork:- Worked closely with other developers on several key platform features, ensuring streamlined communication and efficient project execution.- Participated actively in troubleshooting and resolving issues, benefiting from and contributing to the collective expertise of the team.📢 Conference Participation, Trainings & Promotion:- EGI 2022 & EGI 2023: Hosted dedicated training session on the Virtual Imaging Platform, demonstrating its innovative capabilities and applications.- ISGC 2022: Delivered a presentation titled "Integrating EGI Check-in the Virtual Imaging Platform", highlighting the platform's integration capabilities.
