  Joined the British Army into the Corp of the Royal Engineers. Here I trained to be a combat engineer from building bridges to supplying drinking water, using explosive ordnance to breach builds or denying enemy movement. I also took on the trade of C3S signaller using bowman communication systems. Within the Royal Engineers I enrolled onto the All Arms Commando Course to enable me to work alongside 3 Royal Marine Commando Brigade. I was posted at 24 Commando Royal Engineers serving within 54 Squadron. To the old and bold you may know it as 59 Squadron in the earlier formation. After serving at 24 Commando I was promoted to Lance Corporal and was re assigned to 101 Regiment Royal Engineers EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal). I enjoyed two wonderful years here will moving forward with my experience within bomb disposal and also my trade. I promoted to Corporal and was resigned to ATR Winchester as a Phase Instructor. This was one of the most rewarding job roles that I have done within the army. Training civilians to be professional soldiers within the British Army. Giving people the same job opportunities as myself and setting them up for a successful career. I also spent my last 6 months with the recruiting team promoting and sorting applications for future potential candidates. When finishing my posting at ATR Winchester my children were coming into their final years of school. I need to find a permeant residence for my family. Which made me make the hardest decision to transfer from the Royal Engineers to the Royal Artillery. The offer of stability and change was refreshing and the opportunity to widen my experience within the British Army was not an opportunity to be missed. I transferred over to 21 Airborne Battery Royal Artillery to serve alongside 16 Air Assault Brigade. I have been serving with them over a year now and promoted to Sergeant. Currently posted into the Signal Sergeant role. At present I am looking to do my full term and commission. Show less
