  I was responsible for working with a team of Auto and Fire Training Instructors to create training curriculum and teach new batches of students every quarter through our transition phase. I taught Human Resource Courses to hundreds of new hires at a time as a part of their initial orientation. I was then a part of a team responsible for contract and computer training specific to Fire Claims and Underwriting. I would then personally perform quality checks for the new hires as well as the entire department to ensure quality performance.   When my second child was born in 2004, my family decided I would stay at home. In October of 2007, I began an in-home daycare. This opportunity allowed me to continue teaching, even though it was a younger group of students than adults at State Farm, and be at home to raise my own children. Running my own business further developed my time management skills beyond what was possible in an already structured environment like State Farm.

  GO Kidsview is a program designed for 2nd - 5th graders to learn about different Global Outreach Locations that Eastview Christian Church partners with. As the Director of GO Kidsview, I was responsible for leading a leadership team with marketing for our program, planning and teaching the lesson for each night, recruiting/interviewing volunteers, writing/creating all communications including take-homes and a monthly newsletter.
