    • Sine fm

      Jan 2017 - Aug 2018
      Presenter/reporter

Sine FM is a community radio station where I spent one-and-a-half-years as a volunteer taking up various roles on the station:• Sports Reporter featuring on the Saturday afternoon show and on the Monday breakfast show providing a report of the game from the previous weekend.• Attended pre and post-match press conferences at Doncaster Rovers, compiling reports in the process to broadcast on the station using their editing software Adobe Premier.• Traveled to local sports teams and events, interviewing people involved or associated with those teams/events using professional recording equipment.• Presented my own hourly music show, allowing me to learn how to use Myriad successfully and how to engage with an audience. • Co-presented a live weekly sport show every Thursday, interviewing sporting clubs/personalities from the town. o Hosted my final show on the station, gaining further experience of using Myriad. • Managed the official Twitter and Facebook page for ‘Sine FM Sports Hour’. This experience was a test for me due to starting at the age of 16 and having little experience in the industry, I feel by the end of it however I have flourished and have gained a lot of confidence from this.Skills I have gained:• Teamwork: working in a team of presenters• Independence: going out on my own and reporting on sporting occasions• Decision-making: due to some work requiring me to be independent, I have improved with my decision-making and feel confident making tough decisions. • Radio equipment: training at the station during my time means I am confident using any radio equipment or editing software.• Interviewing techniques: I learned on the job here through self-assessing my content created as well as in-house feedback allowing me to improve.
