  ENKA İzmir Combined Cycle Power Plant which is constructed by Intergen (joint venture between Bechtel and The Royal Dutch / Shell Group) has total production capacity of 1500 MW. There are 4 gas turbines (GE – Frame 9, 250 MW each), 4 HRSG (CMI, triple pressure) and 2 steam turbines (Alstom, 250 MW each). I was responsible from operation of the power plant as a shift team leader.

  I was responsible for leading energy management and energy production groups in four refineries of TUPRAS. Energy Management: Main responsibilities are monitoring energy performances of the refineries, developing and coordinating energy related projects, following steam / fuel balances (natural gas, fuel gas, fuel oil) and identifying related bottlenecks, ensuring reliable and cheap energy supply, following energy regulations, ensuring energy operations are in compliance with ISO50001 standards, making benchmarks about energy consumption with other refineries etc.Energy Production: Main responsibilities are ensuring safe operation of the power plants, monitoring performances of power plant equipment’s (gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers etc.), steam and electricity systems, demineralized water plants, cooling water systems, pressurized air systems.
