  As a traveling member of the UConn Pep Band, I perform and cheer at UConn’s men’s and women’s basketball and men’s hockey home games, supporting our athletic teams and fostering school spirit. The UConn Pep Band is an auditioned group of musicians dedicated to enhancing the game-day atmosphere at UConn events.Additionally, I am part of the UConn Marching Band, an academically diverse group with over 300 members representing more than 100 majors.   As a volunteer with the University of Connecticut Health Leaders (UCHL), I support a community-based program focused on addressing healthcare disparities and social determinants of health in Connecticut. UCHL trains pre-health professional students to advocate for and improve healthcare delivery, preparing them to enter their careers with a strong focus on health equity. I volunteer weekly at the West Hartford Outpatient Clinic, screening patients for social determinants of health, helping to enhance the patient experience and outcomes within the state’s primary public healthcare system.
