  Responsible for location of a dredge (using a sexton) and dredged material measurements (by surveying) on a hydraulic dredging project in Kalama, Washington. Designed a moving structural steel overhead crane support for the engine room of the hydraulic dredge. Also Responsible for surveying in the company lagoon to re-establish missing survey markers.

  On the Pacific Hydro side of the company I was responsible for QA/QC of the welding as well as structural design of small hydro turbines. On the Pac-Fab side of the company i was responsible for producing structural steel shop drawings, from A&E plans, for the new St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, Oregon. Pac-Fab was the fabricator for all steel fabrication on this new church buildings, so I also acted as fabrication shop assistant in all aspects of steel fabrication (welds, fit-up, etc.). Show less

Other duties included mentoring newer designers and assisting the section manager/lead with all bridge related projects. Acted as lead engineer on a number of high profile bridge replacement projects while designing a bridge or two myself on those projects.
