  General Labourer

  General labouring duties around the site which involved the demolition of two large buildings, previously used for data handling. I gained first hand experience of the life-cycle issues involved with the construction industry including the time, expense and difficulty of dismantling and separating materials in order to re-use or re-cycle them. Main duties included building strip out, operation of general power tools and the use plant equipment (fork-lifts and tele-handlers).

  Working as both an electrical and mechanical undergraduate consulting design engineer on a vast range of projects, from residential to community, offices, schools and care facilities. Duties include technical design, CAD, liaising with clients and industry professionals, attending meetings, site visits and starting to integrate Revit. Other software and design packages used on a daily basis include IES Virtual Environment, AmTech, Relux and Dialux to assist in the design and calculation process.
