In July 2015 I was promoted to the position of Talent & Development Manager to assist with this valuable business imperative. The Human Resource Teams that fall under Associated Motor Holdings (encompassing Hyundai; Kia; Multifranchise brands; Graffiti; Liquid Capital; etc.) are all being capacitated at this moment in time to implement Talent Management within their companies. My role entails: The identification of individuals who currently make up part of the core mgt. of the company, as well as their subordinates who may be their likely successors, and after thorough assessment and collaboration with the management team to build a pipeline of talent to supply in the business's talent demands as and when the need arises.I've also assumed other responsibilities as TM, being the following:- Employment Equity: Liaising with the AMH Transformation Manager on EE matters in the Hyundai Business landscape - arranging the establishment of a fully representative EE Committee; consulting with DP's and Regional Managers on what the Dept. of Labour is expecting from the company in terms of EE; chairing EE Committee Meetings; Info. compiling with regards to the company's current EE status; arranging and conducting EE Roadshows.- Care and Growth Programme: Hyundai SA has embarked on what is known as the "Care and Growth" Programme which is an intervention designed to revolutionise the way in which managers manage. It is a tool in the reduction of staff turnover and to change the culture of the organisation. Show less My main responsibility is to move out to the Dealer Network within Gauteng and to train new Sales Executives on the Hyundai Process of selling. I am in the network on a daily basis (travelling from Dealership to Dealership) and train, but also act as a sounding board to sales executives in general who need someone from HR to talk to. Should serious issues be brought to my attention I get the HR Department involved in order to address a grievance or situations that require attention. At the conclusion of the week I generate a report detailing the dealerships I've visited and the sales executives trained, as well as my interactions with Dealer Principals and Sales Managers and wherever I might have come across issues that need more involvement from senior management (Head Office Level). The report gets distributed to the Regional Managers; National HR Manager and the Retail Director.I have some additional responsibilities: I've been asked to train management within the network on the Hyundai Performance Appraisal System and thus to ensure that it is rolled out to the entire Gauteng Dealer Network. The Hyundai Performance Appraisal System is an on-line, internet-based system.I'm also involved in the co-ordination of a Document Archiving Exercise entailing the scanning of Deal Files in each Dealership and subsequent saving of same on off-site Databases.Recently I've been asked to get involved with a Culture-revamp exercise in which Hyundai South Africa's culture is to be adapted to be more reflective of Hyundai's modern approach and international benchmarks.
