      Concordis International works impartially alongside those involved in or affected by armed conflict, so that through dialogue they may build relationships of mutual trust and together develop and implement policies that improve human security and lay firm foundations for lasting peace.I worked primarily on the Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania programmes. My responsibilities included:Research on possible funding sources and preparing briefing notes on likely contenders. Preparing funding applications to the European Union, the United Nations and The United States State Department, in collaboration with the London office and the in-country teams. Taking on day to day programme management of the Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania programmes. Liaising closely with Ivorian project partners and Mauritanian staff, conducting extensive work on the year-end programme report for the European Union and an advocacy report for government and policy makers. In depth research and conflict analysis on the countries of operation, including thorough literature reviews, reporting on the historic, political, cultural and ethnic dimensions of the conflict, and then a detailed analysis of the conflict drivers. Undertaking ongoing media reviews, having regard to both local media outlets and the international press, both enabling Concordis staff to stay up-to-date, and providing a method of monitoring and evaluation of the results of the ongoing peace building processes. Assisting in the preparation of concept notes, used to communicate this project to the local community, to high-level officials, and for fundraising.
