      The Jewish Foundation for Education of Women(JFEW) Eleanor Roosevelt Scholars Program is a two-year scholarship program that provides qualified candidates the opportunity to explore careers in public policy and public service.Upon acceptance, scholars receive tuition assistance, mentorship, a paid summer internship in New York, a three day seminar in Washington, D.C., dedicated workshops, and invitations to special events at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute. This program and its unique offerings are made possible by a generous grant from the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women. Whether Scholars are interested in applying to law school, graduate school, or a position in the public service and/or public policy field, the JFEW Eleanor Roosevelt Scholarship Program is dedicated to preparing students for a range of post-graduate endeavors.       • Co-counseled a cabin of 5 young girls between the ages of 14-15 from the New York City area who had been exposed to domestic violence at a trauma-informed campsite. • Sparked hope and helped build social-emotional skills and confidence through daily activities, reading, and campfire talks. • Completed nightly reports and beginning and end-of-week behavioral analyses of each camper throughout the sleep-away experience. Received trauma-informed care training before the camp commenced. • Fostered a profound sense of community within our cabin that all other counselors were led to recognize us as the most bonded and resilient group in the village.
